About the Juror:

Felecia Brice McFail is a calligrapher who started as a self-taught hand-lettering artist. She continued to study her craft by attending the Corcoran School of the Arts in Washington, DC. After completing several calligraphy courses, she started From One Hand To Another -- The FOHTA is a unique calligraphy business that turns the spoken word into visual art and promotes the importance of good handwriting. With over 30 years in business, McFail expanded her company by opening The FOHTA Gallery in 2007 in Arlington, Virginia. The gallery is home to her calligraphy as well as works from other local artists whose talents and art may have been overlooked within the mainstream art scene. McFail is a graduate of Norfolk State University and a two-time recipient of the Hermann Zapf Scholarship and currently serves as an Arts Commissioner for Arlington County, Virginia. http://www.fohta.com/
